Swimming and Diving Team
The Megaducks welcome swimmers and divers ages 5 – 18 (no exceptions). We emphasize skills improvement, sportsmanship, and team spirit. Before the start of the first day of practice, new swimmers must complete one lap of the pool to be eligible to join the team.

Manorlu Swim Club’s competitive swimming and diving team, the Megaducks, emphasizes skill development, personal improvement, sportsmanship and summer fun. Manorlu is pleased to announce its 2020 coaching staff. This year the team will be led by Head Swim Coach John Rocco and Head Diving Coaches, Todd and Tarra Michael.
John and his family moved to Jenkintown 16 years ago and recently joined the Manorlu Swim Club the summer of 2017. John has spent many summers at swim club very similar to Manorlu as swim club kid at Pomona Swim Club in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. John began competitive swimming at the age of 5 and by the age of 10 was swimming year round for the Jersey Wahoos’ in Mt. Laurel New Jersey.
John consistently swam at the Mid-Atlantics Junior Olympics from the age 10 until going college. His best event was the 200 butterfly along with the 400 IM, 1000 free and the mile. He qualified for Junior Nationals at the age of 17 for the 200 butterfly. He earned a college scholarship for swimming to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. In addition to this he competed in open water swims at the New Jersey shore. When he was 16 he was recruited by the Atlantic City Beach Patrol to be a lifeguard and one of their competitive swimmers for their life guard races. He did this for seven of the best summers he ever had....
Aside from his swimming career, John has worked in the public school system as a special educator for the past 25 years. He currently is a teacher for the Neshaminy School District 18-21 transition program. John has also been a board member for the Jenkintown Youth Athletics organization for the past 8 years.
The Megaduck divers will be led by Todd Michael. Todd started diving at age 4 and was a Michigan State High School Champion. He is currently ranked among the top five in the world of High Diving. Todd brings many years of diving and coaching experience to the Megaduck staff and is also head diving coach at TNT Diving. His divers have qualified and medaled in PIAA District and State Championships, USA Diving East National Championships and AAU National Championships. Todd also volunteers in exhibitions to benefit the NCAA. Todd is also currently the head diving coach of Villanova University and received the honor of being named 2017 and 2018 BIG EAST Diving Coach of the Year.
